Alejandra Duarte Guardia holds a degree in Agroforestry Business Engineering from Universidad Científica del Sur and is a master’s candidate in Forest Resource Conservation at Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina. Her experience includes projects in agroecology, high Andean forests, and access to genetic resources, as well as active participation in international biodiversity networks.
Her path with A Rocha Peru began with conducting a baseline study on the dry forests of Pacasmayo, allowing her to gain firsthand insight into the importance of these ecosystems and their conservation challenges. She later delved deeper into researching their forest structure, contributing valuable data for restoration and sustainable management strategies. Her background in environmental policy, forest management, and risk assessment strengthens A Rocha Peru’s efforts in protecting vulnerable ecosystems.
For Alejandra, conservation is more than a field of study—it is a commitment to life and future generations. She firmly believes in the power of community work and environmental education as fundamental tools for change. At A Rocha Peru, she has found the perfect space to combine her vocation with her faith, serving creation with passion and dedication.
